Early Morning Clyde

I was on my way to work yesterday when I saw this wonderful view of the Clyde and as the river was very calm, the reflections were fantastic. I think the clouds really help with the atmosphere as well.

I took this photograph using my iPhone 16 pro and I honestly think it is one of the best photographs that I have taken to date. I really like the composition and the overall colour tone of the photograph. I have not edited the image in any way, or cropped it at all for size.

I took the photograph at about 07:15, just minutes before the sun came over the horizon. This just reinforces to me the advantage of shooting at first or last light in order to get the best possible light for my photographs.

This is something that is not always possible for me to achieve however, as I do not drive and have work and other responsibilities that make it difficult for me to have these times of day free for shooting.

I think this photograph just goes to show how the line is being blurred between professional cameras and those found in our smartphones.
